Anand Goyal is a qualified chartered accountant, having previously worked at Deloitte as a tax consultant, after graduating with a first class honours degree in Physics from the University of York.
After almost 5 years working in the City, Anand recognised that his true passion laid elsewhere and decided to pursue a career in teaching. He is currently studying for a Physics post graduate certificate in education at Homerton College, University of Cambridge and he has a strong desire to make a difference not only through philanthropic pursuits, but in his work every day.
Anand has been involved in supporting the initiatives of the Hemraj Goyal Foundation since it was founded in 2010, including leading Supporting the Homeless events on New Year’s Day. During his time at the University of York, he was Vice Chair of Events for the Raising and Giving Society and he also held the position of Male Welfare Officer. He has a keen interest in politics and is a member of the Labour Party. His love of science and technology is also reflected in his YouTube channel, AGTech, which has over 1 million views.
